Yikes it was a hot week! I felt so bad for all those kids and teachers in those “steamy” classrooms! We were lucky at both workout spots that we either worked out early enough in the morning to miss the worst of it, or we had “some” cool air in the afternoons in the basement at the church.
Classes are going great and I love that no matter what I throw at you guys you are always willing to try! That Dirty 30 Decline wasn’t fun, but we had quite the sweat going and Tuesday’s afternoon class was dripping, not a dry spot on any of us. Unfortunately for you, but GREAT for me, I have purchased the new T25 workout series from Beach Body. I love that most of the moves on the videos we have all ready done in class (so we must be doing something right), but there are some new exercises that I just LOVE and can’t wait to do in class!!! I also really like the T25 workouts because they are only 25 minutes long. You know those days when you get that good workout in the morning and then eat your way thru the kitchen the rest of the day and feel like what a waste that workout was in the morning (maybe that’s just me….I hope not), but these videos are great because they are quick and if you go hard you will burn some extra calories FAST!! (T25 should be paying me for this little infomercial, but really, I think they are good….so far…and yes, Jim and I have both taken the before pictures!) 🙂 I don’t think I’m going to post those though!! lol!
I can’t believe it….after my long lecture about removing sugar last week I went to Target and what did they have, yep, my favorite, candy corn! Don’t worry, I didn’t eat any of it that day, I brought it to work, I figured if I am going to eat it, others are going to eat it with me. So….I did good, actually I did great for me because I can usually polish off a bag myself in one evening in front of the television. I think I had maybe 20 pieces TOTAL all week. And then guess what happened….I went to Costco today….and what did they have???? Oh yeah……and I bought 2 bags!!
Some good things I have added to my diet this week that you may want to try…some of you may all ready know about some of these things and some these ideas may help.
Have any of you ever tried the powdered peanut butter? I got mine from Whole Foods and I think it is great. I use it in my smoothies and protein bars. There is a lot less fat than regular peanut butter (only 1.5g per serving) and it is all natural and gluten free. I am also still getting the protein (5g)….and I LOVE peanut butter.
I bought this today because I have been flying through the Kale that a friend gave me from her garden. It was great, in the smoothie you don’t even taste it, but let me warn you, it does get the bowels moving!! Sorry for TMI, but I thought you should know! 🙂
This is what my smoothie looks like, a chocolate shake, and that is what I tell myself each time before I take the first sip. 🙂 I add some Kale, a banana, 1 cup ice, 1 cup water, 2 scoops Arbonne chocolate protein powder, and 1 tablespoon PB2 powder. I think it’s GREAT!! I usually make this when I get home from my morning workout, but actually had one for a snack today, it hit the spot!!
