Do you ever drive by those 24 Hour Fitness places, Snap Fitness, Anytime Fitness and wonder who goes there? Do you try to look inside to see who is in there? I don’t know how they do it, go to the gym at the wee hours of the morning or the middle of the day or late at night with no workout buddy or group? I have a feeling that’s why there is such high turnover at those places, there is no one there to hold them accountable. Honestly, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it over and over….IF I didn’t have you guys to hold me accountable I wouldn’t work out the way I do. We all need ACCOUNTABILITY. Accountable at work, at home to our family, to our friends, to our spouse, and to our body (diet and exercise). We need to put the time and effort into all of these areas in order to reap the rewards. WIthout time and effort into the things that matter the most there will be no result. The great thing about No Excuses is that we hold each other accountable!!
I also hate to break it to you, but we notice when you aren’t at class. You usually get a freebie, maybe even two freebies, but after that people start asking….. where has __(name)______ been? How’s ______ doing? Is _______________ on vacation? We miss you when you aren’t there and we notice!! So in other words…..GET YOUR A$$ to CLASS!! :
We have two weeks left in this session and then it is a LOOONNNNGGG week off for the 4th of July. Next week we have class on TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY ONLY!!!! We come back on Tuesday, July 7th, 2015. For the rest of the summer we are going to have class on Tuesday and Fridays. If this is a problem for anyone please let me know and I will see what we can work out! I would love to get in some hill work on some of the off days, but this rain is not cooperating, but plan on that! Also, Jim and I are trying to get to Vegas for our annual trip, but that is always a last minute thing so there may be a little adjustment in August.

SUMMER THOUGHTS: For those of you that are traveling and need to get in workouts, remember Tabata is a great workout and quick!! Tabata is 20 seconds of work, 10 seconds of rest for a total of 4 minutes ( a total of 8 rounds of work). Choose any of the following, you can do one or all….as D.C. says, “You can do anything for 20 seconds!” (the 8 times is where it gets a little difficult!)
Tabata Ideas: 1- pushups 2- squat jumps 3- mountain climbers 4- high knees 5- plank hold 6- x jumps 7- bicycle crunches 8- burpees

No Class on Friday June 26th…I’ll be in a car to a baseball tourney in Myrtle Beach.
Next session starts July 7th…most of you have all ready paid for the entire summer, some have not!
Saturday, June 21st is a 10k/5k in Cary…I am going to try and do it so I hope to see some of you out there!
