Football…Food…Fun!!

Bears vs. Green Bay Packers!  Yay!  No matter what the outcome, it sure is a beautiful day to play football (and take a walk during halftime)!  It sounds like I’m a diehard Bears fan, I’m really not, but I think I’m just looking forward to the Sundays where we have an excuse to sit on the couch and watch the football games that are on…or pretend we are watching some football and take a little “snooze”!

Our kitchen has been under construction for the last few weeks and should be completed with tomorrow.  I am looking forward to some home cooked meals, soups, and chili for the fall nights and Sunday games!

My food supply for 30 days!!

ISAGENIX ROUNDUP: Speaking of food, I’ve been doing that 30 day Isagenix plan and it’s complete.  The idea is to eat two shakes a day with one real meal at either lunch or dinner.  Here’s the thing, like I said before, I love to eat food!  The shakes that I had to drink don’t taste THAT bad and I do find that I actually crave the strawberry flavored shake, but I really wanted food!  So last weekend, my mom made this delicious chocolate cake and I had one piece on Sunday night and another on Monday night!  I felt so guilty about eating two pieces of cake….but guess what….I wanted it and you only live once!!  So…I promised I would be honest about the Isagenix results and my feelings about the program.  I really like having the shakes for work, I don’t have to make myself a lunch and I feel full after I have the shake.  I will continue to do this for lunch.  I also think Isagenix would have gone a little more smoothly if my kitchen wasn’t torn up, it was difficult to make a salad or chicken and veggies without a sink or utensils.  As of this morning, I am down 4.2 pounds in 30 days.  Some of you may say that’s not a whole lot, but for me I think that it is, especially when I reflect back to what I ate (and drank)that I wasn’t supposed to.  If I count how much I weighed after a cleanse day it would be a few more pounds, but I think that’s kind of silly.  Of course you lose a few pounds when you don’t eat all day…that’s craziness!  The 30 day plan comes with all sorts of “flushing” pills, “natural accelerator” pills, and a few other tablets that I wasn’t too good about taking.  I sure hope I never have medical issues that require me to take a daily medicine because I suck at it.  I was also supposed to cleanse 4 times and I only did it 3.  The last time was on Open House Night for my school and I didn’t think it would be smart to pass out in front of a group of parents!!  I guess I would say that Isagenix works, especially if you are looking for something to “jumpstart” your body.  However, I still enjoy eating, even if it is just veggies and fruit!  This weekend I tried eating a bunch of FRIED food at a restaurant before the concert we went to and I paid for it all day Saturday!  I sure enjoyed it when it was going down, just not the payback the next day!!
